For over 20 years, students at Village Elementary have contributed to making their school better by coming together with one another and participating in the PTO’s annual Jog-a-thon. The Jog-A-Thon allows all students at Village Elementary, TK through fifth grade, to participate in the fundraiser. An event that once started with only the students and faculty participating has now grown to involve help and support of family and friends from every corner of the world, as well as support from our generous Coronado community. To date, the annual Jog-A-Thon at Village Elementary is the PTO’s largest fundraiser.
This year, the Jog-A-Thon will also incorporate additional educational moments around nutrition and fitness for the children. We're excited to share more details with you as events are confirmed.
Want to be part of the fun? Families are encouraged to sign up as volunteers! Note, all volunteers must complete the CUSD Volunteer Application prior to signing up. Click the link below to read more!
Participating in the annual Jog-A-Thon is optional for the students at Village Elementary. Those that choose to participate ask family, friends, and/ or neighbors to pledge money to support them as they run, jog, walk, or skip laps around the Coronado High School (CHS) track. Students will raise money by seeking a simple donation, where family or friends pledge to pay a flat amount regardless of how many laps your student runs. In addition, our goal each year is to give both the students and faculty a free Jog-A-Thon event t-shirt. This is all possible through local sponsorships.
